IPTV Middleware
The NetUP IPTV Middleware is the central part of IPTV Complex as it ties subscribers' IP set-top boxes with the IPTV headend and defines the user experience.
Rich client technology – better performance
NetUP's IPTV Middleware includes two main parts - the Middleware server and STB Client, a native application developed in C++ loaded into an IP set-top box. Such a technology, which is often referred to as rich client IPTV middleware allows to achieve a much better perfomance of the user interface in comparison to any Web-based IPTV middleware, which is especially important in case of HD TV or HD video. At the same time the user interface is customizable.
- The IPTV middleware system supports the following services:
- live TV channels
- radio
- electronic program guide (EPG)
- video on demand (VoD)
- near video on demand (scheduled virtual cinema, nVoD)
- time-shift TV, TV on demand (pause, fast forward/rewind TV programs)
- financial/billing info
- parental control, financial password, lock screen
- Web browsing
NetUP's Middleware supports world leading IP set-top boxes: Amino, Telergy, D-Link, Teletec, etc.
